Technology Business Incubator of BITS Pilani Hyderabad incubated startup Baiid Auto Technologies has developed an IoT based smart facemask for a medical condition such as Covid-19 and pulmonary disorders.

This mask helps in not just protecting an individual from being exposed to infection but also monitors their health parameters remotely.

The smart Facemask helps Covid-19 warriors to monitor patients through their smartphones efficiently and thereby reducing the time, they spent in the isolation ward to collect basic parameters, which reduces the risks of them being infected.

The IoT device attached to the mask processes and screens the body’s essential factors such as temperature and blood oxygen levels etc and monitors the humidity levels that develop inside the mask layers over a period. EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (AP) — East Greenwich is working on a plan to boost business on Main Street by closing the street to traffic on Sundays this fall.

Under the plan still being developed by the town and the local Chamber of Commerce, the street would become a pedestrian mall from noon until dusk on Sundays starting on Labor Day weekend, according to WJAR-TV.

NTPC Limited has developed an infrastructure at Rihand project in Uttar Pradesh to transport fly ash in bulk to cement plants at a lower cost, located at a distance. The development is in line with NTPC’s commitment towards 100 per cent utilization of fly ash from power plants, an official statement said.

“The first rake of 59 BOXN type of railway wagons carrying 3,450 Metric Tonne (MT) of fly ash was flagged off from NTPC’s Rihand Super Thermal Power station for ACC Cement Manufacturing Plant, Tikaria, Uttar Pradesh located 458 kilometres away,” the statement said.
