Crumbl Cookies is known for two flavors: chocolate chip and sugar. But each week, the cookie enthusiasts rotate four new flavors, offering at least six different options. Owner Kindall Palmer’s uncle started the business as a local venture three years ago in Utah, which quickly turned into a franchise, Palmer said.

“What started with one store turned into 150 in the last three years,” said Palmer, who runs the business with his brother Joey Cunningham.

The chain is doubling in the next year across the nation, five of which are planned for Southeastern Michigan, with the first at 215 N Maple Road in Ann Arbor.
