The Gujarat government will reopen the Statue of Unity at Kevadia to tourists from October 17 while implementing strict guidelines as a precaution against the spread of Covid-19.

As part of the State government’s efforts to gradually normalise businesses after Covid-19 lockdown, tourism is one of the priority areas.

After the Gujarat government’s recent decision to reopen major tourist destinations at Kevadia on the banks of Narmada river including Jungle Safari, Children Nutrition Park, Ekta Mall among others, the State government has now decided to re-open the world’s tallest statue, that of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, to visitors.

“Maximum 2,500 tourists will be permitted every day, of which only 500 will be permitted up to the viewing gallery,” a statement from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited (SSNNL) informed here.

As per the official data, in November last year the 182-meter Sardar Patel’s statue had recorded average daily tourist footfall of

Rafael Nadal has had too many great moments at the French Open to count. This one may have been his best.

Nadal destroyed Novak Djokovic in a 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 romp in Sunday’s French Open final, taking home his record 13th championship at Roland Garros and tying Roger Federer for the most Grand Slam championships in tennis history.

“What you’re doing on this court is unbelievable,” Djokovic said to Nadal on the court after the match. “Not just on this court, throughout your entire career you’ve been a great champion and today you showed why you’re King of the Clay. I’ve experienced it on my own skin.”

The Spaniard will take home a $1.9 million purse for his victory, with Djokovic bringing in $941,296. Darren Rovell of The Action Network had updated career earnings for Nadal,

Dow Jones reported in The Wall Street Journal that U.S. officials are investigating the possibility of opening up travel between New York and London, ideally in time for the holiday season.

Officials at the U.S. Transportation Department, Department of Homeland Security and other agencies are in talks to increase availability of Covid-19 testing in the U.S. to enable international travel to open up to Americans.

A Homeland Security official is reported to have told Dow Jones that plans were in the early stages, but it would be hoped that quarantine periods could be shortened.

The plan would mean that passengers could test for the virus before their flight and after arrival. It would rely on the cooperation of agencies overseas and within the U.S.

Crucially, the plan is reported to have been approved by the

Spain’s Rafael Nadal demolished world number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia 6-0 6-2 7-5 in the French Open final to claim a record-equalling 20th Grand Slam title on Sunday.

With his record-improving 13th triumph at Roland Garros, world number two Nadal is now tied with Swiss Roger Federer as the player with the most men’s singles major titles.

Nadal was the early aggressor as he choked Djokovic to win the opening set in brutal fashion having made only two unforced errors. He then kept a firm grip on a subdued Djokovic in the second set under the roof of court Philippe Chatrier.

Djokovic, who was looking to win his 18th Grand Slam title, rebelled in the third set, breaking back for 3-3, only to drop serve on a double fault in the 11th game before Nadal went on to bag his 100th victory at Roland Garros with an ace.

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will meet for the ninth time in a Grand Slam final Sunday at the 2020 French Open.

The two legendary players have not met in a title clash at a major since the 2019 Australian Open. Most of their head-to-head showdowns in Grand Slam finals occurred at the start of their reigns atop the men’s game alongside Roger Federer.

Nadal is chasing after his 20th overall major and 13th crown on the clay at Roland Garros, while Djokovic is trying to capture his second title in Paris and 18th overall major.

As he typically does in Paris, Nadal dominated his first six matches on the path to the final, as he won every set.

Djokovic faced more difficulties in the previous two rounds, and he will enter at a disadvantage based off those recent struggles and Nadal’s career-long form on clay.

Sofia Kenin is the third different American woman to reach the French Open final in the last five years.

On Saturday, the No. 4 seed will try to win on the Paris clay, which is what Serena Williams in 2016 and Sloane Stephens in 2018 failed to do.

Kenin is attempting to become the first American singles champion at Roland Garros since Williams in 2015.

Standing in the way of her second-career major victory is Iga Swiatek, a 19-year-old Polish player that has taken the event by storm.

Swiatek is one of two players left in the tournament in either singles draw that has not lost a set yet. The other is Rafael Nadal, who is a 12-time champion at Roland Garros.

When he lost his dad at the age of 13, Michael Rodriguez looked for ways to fill the void.

He turned to the neighborhood gang for support, and he had already begun experimenting with drugs a short time after. He was selling drugs just to get by.

“Once my dad died when I was 13, I wanted that love,” said Rodriguez, 25, of Stanton. “They all showed me love. I felt loved after my dad died, and I started hanging around with the wrong people, started using drugs, tried heroin after he died.

“I tried it a few times. I wasn’t addicted to it, but I liked the feeling. It kept me away from reality … about losing my dad.”

One thing led to another. By 14, Rodriguez was intermittently homeless. By 17, Rodriguez found a drug he had promised his dad he would never do in methamphetamine.

Dear dudes on military dating apps,

Dating is hard. We all get it. But there are some things you should know before you decide to try your luck in swipe city.

According to your bio, you’re all about God, guns, and country. Cool, cool, cool. Oh, and you’ve felt it important to list your MOS. This, in actuality, means absolutely nothing to just about everyone. Lastly, you top it off with a claim that you enjoy bourbon, and you’d love nothing more than to meet a girl who can pound Jim Beam like water during August in Alabama.

What this really tells me is that your hobbies include being in the military and possessing a profound lack of originality.

And then there are the pictures.

Would it kill you to ask a friend to take a decent photo instead of settling on a grainy selfie in a dimly lit barracks
