“From top to bottom the message for our businesses has been confusing,” said Lisa Sorin, president of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, who also signed the letter. “I think it’s important that we speak in one voice.”
Sorin singled out the administration for sitting on its hands as the city’s business community confronts multiple economic crises brought on by the pandemic.
“They are sitting in their offices, and it’s important for us to remind them that we are the ones living day to day and seeing these complications for our businesses and the safety of our communities,” she said.
