“Pretty Little Liars” Star Brendan Robinson Has a Fun Reboot Idea

Pretty Little Liars may have gone off the air in 2017, but the people (and the many secrets and dramas) of Rosewood are never far from our minds as we rewatch the series via HBO Max and revisit some of our faves via (now-canceled) spinoffs like The Perfectionists. It seems that we’re not alone in our nostalgia for the show, as even some of its former stars are longing to bring that drama back.

Brendan Robinson, who played Lucas Gottesman, recently told J-14 that he’s got an idea for a new reboot, and it revolves around his character. “One of the things that I’m told that they cut from the series finale was that Lucas and Caleb were now in business together,” Brendan shared. “Whatever Caleb was doing at the time, like tech stuff, and Lucas was the money guy. So, possibly that. Then, maybe he’s in a relationship or married at this point and living his best life.”

The actor would love to see something PLL-related back on the screen. “I’m curious if it would be a reboot, like a series reboot or if it would be in the form of like a two hour movie,” he said. “I would totally be down for that. Any opportunity to work with people that I like to work with, and kind of ‘go home’ if you will, I’m totally up for that.”

The PLL fandom just doesn’t stop. Recently, some of the actors who played the core characters’ mothers launched a new podcast about the show, Pretty Little Wine Moms, while star Shay Mitchell threw it back to her Emily days in a cute TikTok vid. In May, many of the original cast members had a virtual reunion for a good cause and dished about all the insider secrets and behind-the-scenes tidbits they could remember.

While there are no firm plans for a PLL reboot or another spinoff starring Caleb and Lucas (sorry, Brendan), you can always take a trip back to Rosewood via streaming when you need a little dose of “A”‘s dastardly, dangerous schemes and secrets.
