Capital Companies NY will host an open house of the Cohoes space on Friday, Saturday

The property management business Capital Companies NY is taking applications from local businesses for a year of rent-free office space and a professionally-designed website.

The estimated value of the grant is $35,000 to $40,000. The office space is half of the first-floor retail space, about 2,200 square feet, at 130 Remsen St., Cohoes, a gorgeous old Masonic Temple. An open house is scheduled for 4-5:30 p.m. Friday and 12-3 p.m. Saturday.

The grant contributors in addition to Capital Companies, are GLD Cornerstone Group, Go Gonzalez Web Design and Advertising, and Redmark Realty.

To apply for the grant, send business name, full name, phone number and email to [email protected]. The finalists will be selected in early September and will be invited to present their business plan. The target date to award the grant is Sept. 20.
